Sarah leads clients’ advocacy efforts with a passion for delivering long-lasting results. As Vice President, she offers clients specific expertise navigating the complex healthcare landscape in the state. 

Prior to joining Deveau Burr Group, Sarah served as Senior Director for Strategies 360s. Prior to that, Sarah was the Senior Legislative Advocate for the Association of California Healthcare Districts (ACHD), representing the state’s public health care providers. During this time, she was lead ACHD’s advocacy and public affairs program. Before ACHD, Sarah was with the California Special Districts Association.  

 

Sarah has in-depth and proven experience in telehealth, hospital infrastructure, emergency preparedness and public safety power shut offs (PSPS), Medi-Cal, and the health care workforce. She has served on the Department of Healthcare Services (DHCS) Medi-Cal Telehealth Advisory Working Group and the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) working group on PSPS response. Sarah has worked with clinics, skilled nursing facilities, ambulance, and hospital providers. With an abundance of experience, she has a deep understanding of the health care industry and its perception in Sacramento and worked to represent health care providers during the pandemic. 

 

Sarah serves on the board of Capitol Network, a non-partisan philanthropic organization connecting women in government and political careers. She is a graduate of Chico State University with a degree in Political Science, International Relations and Ethics, Justice, and Policy, and is currently pursuing her Juris Doctorate at the McGeorge School of Law, with a specialty in Advocacy. In her free time, Sarah competes on McGeorge’s negotiations team and volunteers at the Sacramento Crisis Nursery.
