Jennifer Escobar Belden
Senior Director of Legislative Policy and Operations
Jennifer joins the Deveau Burr Group as Senior Director of Legislative Policy and Operations, bringing a wealth of experience in legislative and policy matters. Jennifer is responsible for providing comprehensive support to DBG and its clients, including conducting research, monitoring hearings, preparing updates and reports, and scheduling. She works closely with the Senior Vice President of Education to refine the Education practice, skillfully guiding clients through the intricate maze of legislative, policy, and regulatory challenges.
In her previous roles as Director of Operations at the Association of California Healthcare Districts and Director of Operations and Client Services at Strategies 360, Jennifer has a proven track record in operations and client services. She also taught elementary education for three years in the Sacramento City Unified School District, which deepened her passion for equity in education and her understanding of educational policies.
Jennifer holds a Master of Arts in Education and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from UC Davis. She also possesses a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential, demonstrating her commitment to education and her capability in handling educational policy matters.
On weekends, you can find Jennifer exploring Sacramento with her husband, Jeff, and their goldendoodle, Murphy.
